SIRE Technologies Brings Document and Agenda Management to Texas Government Offices

SIRE Technologies, Inc.

SIRE to provide government offices in Midland City and Tarrant County with more efficient programs for document management and agenda automation.

Salt Lake City, UT— SIRE Technologies, Inc. (formerly AlphaCorp, Inc.) a leading provider in document and agenda management solutions, today announced its entry into the Texas market, where the company will initially work with the City of Midland and Tarrant County to implement efficient, cost-effective solutions to address their respective document management and agenda automation challenges.

Much like other government entities, the City of Midland, TX wanted to find a solution to manage paper documents and realize the increasing demand for document archival.

By using the SIRE Content Management software from SIRE Technologies, the city now captures and stores many of its critical records, such as ordinances, City Council decisions, and contracts, in an accessible database. The documents are protected and secure yet easily shared with citizens.

SIRE will be implemented throughout the entire organization of the City of Midland, starting with the City Secretary’s Office and Administrative Services. The Finance, Purchasing, and Police Department are soon to follow.

"The most far-reaching benefits are those which add value to our processes and services through improved customer service, faster and more accurate decision-making, streamlined workflow, and reduced costs related to paper storage and handling," said Kaylah McCord, City Secretary for the City of Midland.

The City of Midland looks forward to using this latest technology to work more efficiently and to better serve the public.

Tarrant County, one of the fastest-growing urban counties in the US, and one of the largest counties in Texas, had been using an outdated agenda management system that did not adequately meet the county’s needs for commissioners court meeting agendas.

SIRE’s Agenda Plus has been purchased and is slated to be fully implemented by May 2006, enabling Tarrant County to automate the creation, distribution and management of the commissioners court meeting agendas.

"Automating the agenda process can serve as a giant leap in the management of county meetings and workflow processes,” said Kris Painter, Vice President of SIRE Technologies. “Tarrant County is demonstrating leadership by improving efficiencies in their organization, which will save tax dollars for the county."
