“As a direct result of SIRE’s implementation, the Salt Lake County Recorder is able to successfully accommodate the three-fold increase in recordings with a staff of only 60 people (20 fewer than 10 years ago). This directly translates into a $1.0 million annual savings of taxpayer dollars.” |
SALT LAKE COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE Salt Lake County retained SIRE Technologies approximately 10 years ago. At the time, the Recorder's office was two months behind in its recording process, its 80 employees were struggling to keep up with their growing workload, and virtually all of its processes where paper-based and time intensive. With the volume of monthly recordings forecasted to double, the Recorder approached SIRE for ideas on how to ease workload and increase individual productivity in a manner that was less expensive than hiring more staff. Ten years later, the recording volume has now tripled. However, using SIRE's ECMS solution configured to meet the unique needs of their county, the Salt Lake County Recorder has eliminated their backlog and now consistently delivers a 24-hour turnaround on all recordings. SIRE WebCenter provides a mechanism for self-service authorized document retrieval for a fee resulting in an annual $500,000 income to help fund the Recorder's office. WebCenter and our neutral e-recording adaptor tool provide a means to support e-recording. In all, WebCenter has dramatically reduced the number of people who enter the Recorder's office thereby reducing the workload of their staff. As a direct result of SIRE's implementation, the Salt Lake County Recorder is able to successfully accommodate the three-fold increase in recordings with a staff of only 60 people (20 fewer than 10 years ago). This directly translates into a $1.0 million annual savings of taxpayer dollars. Click Here to read the full story. |
